What Is an Oil-Fired Wastewater Evaporator?
An oil-fired wastewater evaporator is a thermal system that uses Diesel, Light Diesel Oil (LDO), or Furnace Oil burners to heat wastewater and evaporate its water content. Only the concentrated contaminants remain, drastically reducing the overall volume of liquid waste.
Working :
- Wastewater Feed from Storage Tank :Wastewater stored in the Waste Water Storage Tank is transferred via a motor (M) and pump (P) to the evaporator chamber (Tank).
- Heating via Oil-Fired Burner A diesel or LDO oil burner heats up the internal heat exchanger, bringing the wastewater inside the evaporator to its boiling point.
- Evaporation The water content turns to vapor and exits the chamber through the vent stack, while the contaminants remain behind.
- Residue Removal Once evaporation is complete or sludge level is high, the concentrated waste is removed through the drain valve.
- Water RecoveryOptional recovery systems for water or valuable contents. The system can recover clean water from wastewater, which can be reused in industrial processes, reducing the demand on fresh water resources.
- Inspection & Maintenance The top door allows for manual inspection. A dedicated drain port is provided for cleaning, or sludge removal as needed.
